Prioritising wellbeing

Whilst we are excited by the opportunities that 2022 will bring for Wilmington, we are aware that our people continue to face uncertainty as we all learn to live with Coronavirus. Therefore it is as crucial as ever that we continue to invest in initiatives to support their wellbeing and ensure that all our of teams can look forward to 2022 positively.

We have exciting plans to kick off the new year with a programme of wellbeing initiatives running throughout January and beyond:

1. Wellbeing webinar from a self care expert on:

  • Why selfcare is important and what good self care looks like.
  • How to take care of our mind health – including practical demonstration of tips, tools and resources.
  • How to boost the body and mind through good nutrition and connecting to movement – including practical tips, tools and resources.

2. Supporting managers webinar

Our CEO Mark Milner is hosting a series of sessions to help equip managers with the skills and resources they need to continue to support their own teams to work remotely. These sessions will be interactive and flexible to make sure they are addressing the issues that are most important to our managers.

3. Wilmington connect ‘coffee breaks’

We are coordinating virtual coffee breaks to link up colleagues from different parts of Wilmington. This is a great opportunity for our people to meet with with colleagues outside of their core teams, and to benefit from shared experiences in an informal context.

4. Key resources

We continue to provide our people with a rich portfolio of wellbeing resources to support their physical and mental health including: our Global employee assistance programme; trained mental health first aiders in all areas of the business; a dedicated intranet wellbeing site; and access to a 24/7 digital GP in the UK.
